Marcus Ohlsson is Sweden’s fastest rising star in fashion and beauty photography. In order to pursue his love for photography, Marcus left high school to enroll at a photo school. He then spent six years assisting Swedish top photographers Calle Stoltz, Camilla Åkrans and Mikael Jansson before kick starting his own career in 2005.
Marcus is fond of working with existing light and on location. This results in sensual, beautiful and nearly dreamlike photography with a great deal of presence. He offers the models a lot of freedom in front of the camera and has been gifted with the ability to capture the uniqueness of each moment. His passion for fashion is unmistakeable.
Marcus is super productive and creative and has a number of editorial clients, such as Italian Velvet, Tush, Bon, Arena, Vs and S-Magazine. Among his commercial assignments are H&M, Marc O’Polo, L’Oréal, Piz Buin, Acne, Wella, Sisley Casa and Boots.

“Black leather, shellacked asymmetrical Mohawks and makeup to rival Duran Duran’s “Rio”… Either Steven Meisel has fond memories of nights at Area or (like the rest of us) has Marc Jacobs on the brain. Whatever the case, we’re digging the decadent, party-all night flashback to the back alleys and dimly-lit clubs of the ’80s as captured in the latest issue of Vogue Italia. Looking every inch the part of Jerry Hall is a teased-out Megan Collison flaunting Reagan-era appeal in tightly bound corsets and serious gold hoops. But what is a club kid without her wickedly luxe entourage? Doing the duty are models Julia Hafstrom, Nimue Smit, Lucas R, Sara Blomqvist, Marcel Castenmiller and Anna de Rijk decked in some attention commanding shoulders and enough chains to make Alexis Carrington jealous. Sure, it’s a total riff on Marc Jacob’s neon heavy, retro-visionary romp. But as always Meisel keeps things mighty fresh— perhaps thanks in part to all that plastic wrap.” - megan baldwin

Maciek Kobielski is an amazing photographer we came across, we love looking at all of his photos. You’ve probably seen his shots while flipping through fashion magazines, or even the New York Times. Check out his work on his official website, really worth it.

We love everything about these pictures. Natasha she’s is so beautiful, the light and the theme/mug shot style are perfect.
The photos were shot by Terry Richardson for Vogue Paris issue Dec/Jan 2004/2005.
